Spatium bestia, 2017

By using textiles, I explore the possibilities of transforming matter by giving it life through a fictional ecology. The drawing completes the whole in order to emphasize the environment of this ecology. The scale of the proposed piece, installed on the wall, allows the viewer to interact and perhaps be subsumed in the environment.

This body of work was featured in Intertwined group show at the Michael O’Brian exhibition commons during the Textile Society of America Symposium in fall 2018, Vancouver, BC, the land of the Coast Salish peoples – Squamish, Tsleil-Waututh, and Musqueam Nations.
